The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Associate oversees the implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise HSE software solutions. This role is responsible for leading the Enterprise HSE IT system strategy and serves as the business owner for enterprise HSE applications and data management. This role leads implementation of Global HSE strategic initiatives and projects related to HSE applications. Key Responsibilities: HSE IT System Implementation and Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, configuration, and support of enterprise-level HSE software, working closely with vendors and internal IT teams. Act as the subject matter expert and business owner for HSE IT systems, providing training and support to users at all levels of the organization. Lead the enterprise HSE IT steering team, facilitating the business strategy and actions between the HSE and IT functions. Drive standardization of HSE-related data in alignment with global priorities with the goal of reducing risk, enhancing compliance and improving execution. Manage system configurations, user permissions, and access controls to ensure data security and compliance. Coordinate with internal IT departments to ensure seamless integration of the HSE system with other company systems. Troubleshoot system errors and malfunctions, working with the vendor and internal resources for timely resolution. HSE Data Management and Reporting: Develop and implement processes for capturing, managing, and maintaining accurate and complete HSE data within enterprise system to support needs of management and HSE subject matter experts. Establish connectivity between systems and make data available. Design, develop, and generate reports, dashboards, and metrics on HSE performance, trends, and compliance. Assist the organization and subject matter experts in analyzing HSE data. Support regulatory reporting requirements by extracting, organizing, and preparing data from the HSE system. Conduct data analysis to support benchmarking of HSE performance against industry standards or internal targets. HSE Program Support: Collaborate with HSE program owners to ensure HSE IT systems effectively support and enhance HSE processes and procedures. Support the development and implementation of new HSE initiatives and programs, leveraging IT system's capabilities. Develop and deliver training materials and programs on the use of HSE IT systems and data management best practices. Facilitate integration and onboarding of new sites and personnel into Lilly’s HSE systems. Support sites in managing HSE systems and data. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize HSE processes and workflows through the use of the enterprise IT system. Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in HSE IT solutions and data management best practices. Participate in efforts to enhance the HSE Management System, leveraging data and system functionality to drive continuous improvement. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Engineering, Information Technology, Safety, Environmental, or relevant technical field. Minimum 10 years of experience in the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) field. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting or implementing HSE-related IT applications. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing enterprise software solutions (e.g., Intelex, Veeva, Cority, Sphera, Benchmark/Gensuite, etc.). Understanding of data science and data structures to enhance data connectivity between systems. Experience with data warehouses and/or data lakes and other data connection processes. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, BI tools, etc). Familiarity with relevant HSE regulations and reporting requirements. Strong project management and organizational skills, and ability to plan and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Ability to effectively network with management and staff personnel in a variety of cultures. Strong blend of HSE knowledge, technical expertise, and a passion for leveraging technology to drive proactive safety improvements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an evolving environment. Other Information: This position is located at the Lilly Corporate Center. The anticipated wage for this position is $63,000 - $162,800 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
