every relationship and interaction. About the Role: The General
Manager at Rootstock Hospitality Group is responsible for
overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations to ensure
exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. This role
requires strategic leadership to drive business growth, manage
financial performance, and maintain high standards of service and
quality. The General Manager will lead, motivate, and develop a
diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
They will also be the primary point of contact for vendors,
partners, and stakeholders, ensuring smooth coordination and
compliance with company policies. Ultimately, the General Manager
plays a critical role in upholding the brand reputation and
achieving the company’s long-term objectives within the competitive
hospitality industry. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in
Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related
field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant or
hospitality management with a proven track record of success.
Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, financial management,
and customer service standards. Excellent leadership and team
management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant
management software. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing
multiple restaurant locations or large-scale hospitality
operations. Certification in food safety and sanitation (e.g.,
ServSafe). Familiarity with marketing strategies specific to the
hospitality industry. Bilingual abilities or experience working in
diverse cultural environments. Responsibilities: Manage daily
restaurant operations including staffing, inventory, and customer
service to ensure smooth and efficient functioning. Develop and
implement business strategies to increase revenue, control costs,
and maximize profitability. Recruit, train, and mentor team members
to build a skilled and motivated workforce aligned with company
values. Monitor financial performance through budgeting,
forecasting, and reporting, making data-driven decisions to improve
outcomes. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation
regulations, maintaining a safe environment for guests and
employees. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote
the restaurant and enhance customer engagement. Address and resolve
customer complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction and
loyalty. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to manage inventory
and negotiate contracts effectively. Skills: The General Manager
will utilize strong leadership and interpersonal skills daily to
inspire and guide the team towards achieving operational goals.
Financial acumen is essential for analyzing budgets, controlling
costs, and driving profitability through strategic decision-making.
Effective communication skills are critical for interacting with
staff, customers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure clarity and
collaboration. Problem-solving abilities are frequently applied to
address operational challenges and customer concerns promptly and
efficiently. Additionally, proficiency with technology, including
POS systems and management software, supports streamlined
