working 12 hour shifts as needed based on departmental needs. May
float to work areas as needed, including Med Surg, Psychiatric
Services, Transitional Care Unit, and the Emergency Department.
Duties and Key Responsibilities Perform a variety of basic patient
care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the
patient. Collaborate and interact positively with the
interdisciplinary team to provide quality patient care and achieve
a high level of patient satisfaction. Observe patients and report
unusual conditions and/or reactions to an RN or an appropriate
licensed team member. Assist with admission, discharge, and
transfer of patients. Answer call lights promptly and respond
appropriately. Straighten patients’ rooms, change linens, and
perform routine cleaning tasks in the patient care area. Document
appropriate graphic information and patient care on the patient
record. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Flexibility
to work other nursing units or shifts. Must be capable of
physically assisting patients, dealing with patient emergencies,
and working as a clinical team member. STNA preferred.
Education/Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent Must
have one of the following: Completion of State Testing Certificate
Program. Nursing Assistant Certification. Successful completion of
at least one quarter or semester of clinical work in a
health-related program. Experience Previous nursing assistant
