Job Description Job Description Obstetrics and Gynecology - OB Hospitalist - Physician Opportunity The OB Hospitalist role involves delivering specialized inpatient obstetric services, which encompass deliveries, cesarean sections, and both antepartum and postpartum care at our organization's facilities equipped with Level II and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs). This position requires 24-hour laborist shifts, with options for part-time, full-time, and PRN schedules, focusing on high-risk pregnancies and collaborating closely with neonatal and maternal-fetal medicine teams. This position is part-time (.8 FTE) at our IU West location in Avon (Level II NICU) and IU North in Carmel (Level III NICU). We also have Full-time and PRN positions available—please reach out for more details. Key Highlights Part-time (.8 FTE) OB laborist with 24-hour shifts at IU West and IU North. Deliver intrapartum, antepartum, and postpartum care. Provide coverage for the obstetric emergency department. Perform procedures such as deliveries, cesarean sections, and dilation and curettage (D&C). At IU North (Carmel), benefit from Riley Children's Level III NICU and maternal-fetal medicine support; high-risk patients are transferred to the Level IV NICU at Riley Children's Maternity Tower. 0.8 FTE positions are eligible for a full range of benefits offered by our organization. Board Eligible/Board Certified in OB/GYN. MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for licensure in Indiana.
