seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Physicist to join our
Radiation Oncology team. In this pivotal role, you will provide
comprehensive clinical medical physics support under the guidance
of the Medical Director and collaborate closely with our Radiation
Oncologists. As a key member of our team, you will oversee ensuring
adherence to the highest standards of safety and
efficacy.Responsibilities & Requirements:Key
Responsibilities:Clinical Support: Provide expert medical physics
support for Radiation Oncology procedures, ensuring optimal
performance and safety of all equipment. Opportunity to contribute
to Gamma Knife and HDR procedures located at main campus.Equipment
Management: Oversee the acquisition, installation, calibration, and
acceptance of radiation treatment equipment, maintaining meticulous
records and documentation.Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with
quality measures and standards as set by the State of Ohio,
documenting all quality assurance activities.Professional
Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills within the
field, pursuing ongoing professional development and adhering to
legal and ethical standards.Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patient
safety and high-quality care, actively participating in performance
improvement initiatives and utilizing organizational resources
effectively.Mission Alignment: Uphold the organizations mission,
vision, values, and philosophies in all aspects of work and
collaboration with the Radiation Oncology department.Preferred
Qualifications:Qualifications:Education: PhD, DMP, or MS in medical
physics or a related field. Board certification in Therapeutic
Medical Physics is preferred, but we encourage board-eligible
candidates to apply and continue to pursue
certification.Experience: A minimum of two years of recent clinical
medical physics experience in Radiation Oncology is
preferred.Certification: Board certification in Therapeutic Medical
Physics preferred. Must obtain BLS certification upon
hire.Candidates: MS, DMP, or PhD board-certified or board-eligible
